The Aussie VoIP List – All the VoIP You’ll Ever Need

Market Clarity, ISPhone, Linksys Join Forces to Create Australia’s Largest VoIP Directory

Sydney , AUSTRALIA — 31 July 2006: Market Clarity has launched the largest online directory of Australian consumer, business and wholesale VoIP providers, which is available free of charge on Market Clarity’s website.  It is an accessible, easy to use VoIP information resource for consumers, businesses, media and the telecommunications industry alike.

In just six months the number of Australian VoIP providers has soared by more than 400%, with over 180 providers now offering a range of increasingly complex services to both businesses and consumers.

Shara Evans, CEO of Market Clarity, explained the reasons behind the launch of the list.

“VoIP services have been growing in ‘stealth mode’ since 2001, but over the last six months a huge number of local providers have launched into the market. With so many providers, so many different offers and such confusing terminology it was almost impossible for anyone to really understand what was available.”

“The Aussie VoIP List is a completely free, comprehensive resource that explains the jargon and details every local provider that we could find. It covers business, residential and wholesale services,” Ms Evans continued.

The Aussie VoIP List identifies each service provider by name, URL and target market. It also shows the service type, highlighting whether the provider uses the public Internet or an alternative IP connection.

The Aussie VoIP List will be updated regularly, ensuring all new providers are included and all details are current and correct. Providers are encouraged to contact Market Clarity to advise of any updates to their company profile and services.

ISPhone Australasia and Linksys are sponsors of the Aussie VoIP List.

Gavin McDougal, Managing Director of ISPhone is a strong supporter of initiatives to encourage education about VoIP.

“The Aussie VoIP List will be an extremely useful resource for consumers and industry alike. With a growing number of providers breaking into the market it’s important that we have a neutral, well researched resource for information. ISPhone is pleased to promote the free flow of information and competition so that the consumer can make the most informed choice for their VoIP needs.”

Graeme Reardon, Regional Director of Linksys Australia and New Zealand agrees.

“Linksys is proud to be a sponsor of Market Clarity’s Aussie VoIP List. Through this resource, small and medium businesses will gain an understanding of who can best serve their VoIP needs in this market.”
